POLYCYCLE can be used effectively as insulation materials due to their unique properties:

Thermal resistance: POLYCYCLE have extremely low thermal conductivity due to their high porosity, small pore size and trapped pockets of air. This makes them excellent thermal insulators.
Acoustic insulation: The tiny pores and enclosed air pockets in aerogels also attenuate sound waves, making them good absorbers of noise and vibration. They can provide acoustic insulation.

APPLICATION of Multi-use POLYCYCLE insulation:

Building insulation: POLYCYCLE blankets can be installed in walls, roofs, windows and floors to significantly improve the energy efficiency of buildings by reducing heat transfer.
Piping insulation: POLYCYCLE coatings and sleeving are used to insulate pipes carrying hot or cold fluids to minimize heat loss and condensation. They are used for industrial and commercial piping systems.
Footwear and apparel insulation: POLYCYCLE embedded in fabrics or coatings for clothing and footwear provide enhanced insulation, moisture management and breathability.
Automotive insulation: POLYCYCLE-filled acoustic panels and other automotive components help reduce noise levels and improve comfort in car interiors. POLYCYCLE mats under hoods provide thermal insulation.
Thermal protectors: POLYCYCLE can be used as thermal protectors for high temperature equipment like furnaces and ovens.
Earplugs and hearing protection: POLYCYCLE are being investigated for use in ultralight earplugs and hearing protection devices.
